Gerald Gaus is the James E. Rogers Professor of Philosophy and Head of the Department of Political Economy and Moral Science. His books include Value and Justification, Justificatory Liberalism, The Order of Public Reason, and, most recently, The Tyranny of the Ideal: Justice in a Diverse Society. He is currently writing a book on morality and complexity to be published by Oxford University Press.
